Thousands of people got together in Mote Park in Maidstone for Demelza’s 11th Bubble Rush Maidstone, delivering a spectacular day filled with colour, laughter and community spirit.

The event welcomed around 2,500 participants, supported by more than 60 volunteers and an event village packed with food, drink and entertainment including lively sessions from Boogie Tots Maidstone and energetic samba rhythms from Bloco Fogo.

Participants made their way around a fully accessible 2.5km course featuring four bubble stations, yellow, pink, green and blue.t.

Thank you to the Bubble Rush community

Demelza’s Head of Events and Mass Participation reflected on the day:

“There was a fantastic atmosphere at Bubble Rush this year and we’re so grateful to everyone who took part. It’s always a really fun event and it was especially lovely to see so many families and father figures enjoying the day together.

Launching our summer match funding appeal on the day made it even more meaningful, and we’d like to thank everyone who donated – their support will go even further.

These events raise vital funds for Demelza to continue providing expert clinical care, emotional support and practical help to children with serious or life-limiting conditions, and their families.”

A day to remember

From the first wave to the final burst of bubbles, Bubble Rush Maidstone once again proved why it remains such a special fixture in Demelza’s calendar. Every splash of colour, every volunteer shift and every donation helps ensure families get the care and support they need when it matters most.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, volunteered, supported and quite literally got covered in bubbles.
